Afrimat Lyttelton, based in Centurion has a vacancy for a:

Boilermaker/ Welder

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent technical qualification
• Qualified Boilermaker/Welder (Trade Test Certificate).
• 2–3 years' experience in either Boilermaking or Welding.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG/TIG/Arc).
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety standards
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good leadership and communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Valid unendorsed driver’s license
• Own reliable vehicle

Duties & Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and equipment according to specifications
• Perform welding using MIG, TIG, and/or Arc welding techniques as required
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Cut, shape, bend, and weld metal components to required tolerances
• Conduct routine and breakdown maintenance on plant and equipment
• Carry out quality checks and inspections on completed work
• Carry out fitting work
• Complete work orders/job cards as required using the relevant systems
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental procedures on site
